Abstract

The survey of agribusinesses in Almaty region of Kazakhstan was conducted, which showed that in rural areas there are no farms which do organic farming and which products are certified ac- cording to international standards. The generalization of the practice of organic agriculture has allowed to identify main problems hindering the development of organic agriculture, which impor- tant factors include the lack of legislative and regulatory and public support.
